Koehler Family
I met the Koehler family through my friend Leigh. I am so lucky to have friends and clients that sing my praises! The Turners and Koehlers are friends and neighbors. When they contacted me about documenting their third pregnancy with the family, I was flattered. They wanted a combination of a family portrait session and a maternity session. We worked out the details and I hopped in my car a few weeks later and drove the 2+ hours to Chesterfield, Virginia. We met up in the early evening at a park not far from them. It was brisk and the children were full of energy, but we had a great time. I would have never expected that these two siblings would be so affectionate. It was such a sweet surprise. Here are some of my favorites from the session.
The Turner Family
Blogging photography sessions around the holidays is tricky business. Most people are having photographs made for their cards or for gifts so I take care not to spoil any surprises. I’m delighted to be able to finally share some of the photographs from my mini-session with the Turner family back at the beginning of December. We got everyone together near dusk at a local Richmond park and snapped photographs for their holiday card. It was a super quick session, but the images just make me smile.
Leigh and I have been friends since we were both pregnant and it’s been so fun to get together a few times a year and see how our girls have grown. You’ll probably recognize the girls from several of my card designs because she has hired me to design many holiday cards and birthday invites. It’s been awesome getting to know the Turner family and Leigh is one of those friends that I know I will have in my life for a long time
